Target Groups
- Local people of 160 villages/blocks, students and teachers of 09 districts/city in Thai Nguyen and Quang Binh province:
- 06 Districts of Thai Nguyen province;
- 03 city/districts of Quang Binh province;
- 24 secondary schools in Quang Binh and Thai Nguyen Province.
- Local authorities at provincial, district and communal levels.
- Other local NGOs in Vietnam.
Project goal
Self-Management Communities at grassroots levels contribute to the socio-economic development in Vietnam.
Project objective
Community Management (CM) enable communities to organize their own development, strengthens their policy dialogue with the local government for improved living conditions, especially for the poor, disseminates and capitalizes experiences to other stakeholders.
Project Outcomes
- Self managed local communities improve effectively their living conditions – for both women and men by applying CM approach.
- Local communities actively participate in the policy dialogue with the local government to ensure social accountability between the citizens and their authorities for equitable and inclusive development.
- CM is promoted at district and province levels for its sustainable institutionalization, ensuring its application beyond the project life.
- Knowledge, experiences and key competencies for the implementation of CM are made available in user-friendly and transferable forms to local authorities and communities in the project provinces and other stakeholders in Vietnam.
