Bach Thong (Bac Kan) – Bach Thong women leading the digital transformation

Along with the process of international integration, the access and implementation of digital transformation helps women in the district expand opportunities to access information and knowledge, improve their capacity and professional qualifications, and seek development opportunities.

The remark is quoted from a news posted on the official website of Bach Thong District following this link.

Women in villages already know the application to take photos and record clips to introduce their products on social networks like Facebook and Zalo

In early 2022, Na Lau village, Tan Tu commune was supported by Bread for the World organization to make a net house for safe vegetable and fruit farming under the project "Strengthening living conditions of poor communities through Community Management Approach, phase 1". This brings new development opportunities in agricultural production to the women's production group led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam. Not only has the production and management methods changed in a more modern direction, but the way of approaching customers to sell agricultural products of the clean melons growing group in Na Lau has also changed. The entire process of tillage, planting, composting and fertilizing, caring for, and harvesting the melons of the group was photographed and filmed by Ms. Lam on social networks like Facebook and Zalo.

The publicity of the cultivation and harvesting process helps consumers trust the clean melon products of Na Lau women's group, so the first crop of melons grown on an area of 1,000 square meters is not enough to sell, the price is also higher than other melons grown with the traditional method from VND 5,000 to 10,000/kg. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam – Head of the clean vegetables and fruits growing group in Na Lau village – said: "When I first put the group's production image on social networks, I was a little hesitant because I was not familiar with this method, but when I caught up, the effect from online sales on social networks was huge. The group is planning to expand the planting area and diversify clean vegetables and fruits in the near future."
